Andrey Kamaev is an allergist, pulmonologist and paediatrician who has practised in the field of paediatric allergy since 2002. He serves as a healthcare practitioner in an outpatient allergy consultation centre in Saint Petersburg while working as a postgraduate associate professor at Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University.
Dr Kamaev’s clinical interests include changes in asthma features over the lifespan and the possibilities of pharmacological load reduction. He also has a specific interest in immunotherapy. He has been involved in clinical trials in the fields of bronchial asthma, acute respiratory infections and skin allergy.
Dr Kamaev is a member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the European Respiratory Society, the Russian Respiratory Society and the Association of Paediatric Allergists and Immunologists of Russia. He is also a member of the expert panel for the National Paediatric Asthma Prevention and Treatment Program. He has been an annual speaker at the Russian National Congress on Respiratory Diseases since 2010 and has presented at a number of allergy forums. Dr Kamaev has more than 70 publications.
